Mole fraction is just what is says it is. It the moles of something divided by the total moles present, i.e. it is the fraction of the total moles.
3 g Cl2 gas x 1 mol Cl2 / 71 g = 0.042 moles Cl2
moles H2 = 5 moles
moles H2O = 10 moles
TOTAL MOLES = 15.042
mole fraction Cl2 = 0.042 / 15.042 = 0.003
mole fraction H2 = 5 / 15.042 = 0.33
mole fraction H2O = 10 / 15.042 = 0.66
