These are two events with no replacement, so the probability is Probability of Event A * Probability of Event B

or P(A) * P(B)

Total crayons = 9+13+7+11 = 40

Total number of non-purple = 40-7 = 33

So P(A) = 33/40 = .825

Now we have taken one non-purple crayon out so, there are 39 crayons left and 32 non-purple.

P(B) = 32/39 = 0.821

0.821*.825 = .679 which is 67.7 percent
