butane liquid (C4H10(l)) is burned in oxygen gas (O2(g)), producing carbon dioxide gas (CO2(g)) and water vapor (H2O(g))
Unbalanced chemical reaction equation: C4H10(l) + O2(g) → CO2(g) + H2O(g)
Balanced chemical reaction equation: 2C4H10(l) + 13O2(g) → 8CO2(g) + 10H2O(g)
Notice these compounds are not aqueous, therefore they will NOT break apart into ions so there is NO IONIC EQUATION associated with this chemical reaction. The compounds are all covalent bonds.
