add 1/2 to -10 to get -9 1/2

do the same with the y coordinates

-8 to 8 is 16. divide by 4, to get 16/4 = 4

add 4 to -8 to get -4

the point is (-9.5, -4) which divides the line segment in a ratio of 1:3
