the rectangle has length = 4 - - 3 = 4+3 = 7, that's the difference in x values

it has width or height = -3 - -6 = -3+6 = 3= difference in y values

it may help if you plot the 4 points on a graph. It's a rectangle below the x-axis, and almost symmetrical across the y-axis
