How to solve this system by elimination -8x+7y=10 and 9y=-18. Thank you so much, I really don't get this problem.

y = -18/9 = -2

y=-2

-8x +7y = 10, replace y with -2

-8x + 7(-2) = 10

-8x = 10+14 = 24

x = 24/-8 = -3

x=-3, y =-2
