It is important to understand that rock and roll is a more modern and newer genre out of the ones you listed, and is not necessarily an "original" genre of music. Rather, it is a collection of rhythmic and melodic elements from jazz, blues, etc. that came together to create rock and roll. In the early stages of this musical genre, artists would fuse melodic and rhythmic elements (i.e. chord progressions, complex rhythms, and instrumentation) of blues, R&B, and swing to create this new genre that also had its own identity among young people in the 1950's. At first, older people at the time despised rock and roll, and this type of music was even banned in many parts of the country due to it being a detriment to the morals of the communities. Eventually, the bans were lifted. I hope this answer helps!
