- When speaking in public you should expect to awaken the curiosity of the audience. Therefore, it is crucial to set ground rules for questioning, specially when time and duration is into account. Clarify to the audience, when will you respond to questions, if during or after the presentation.
- Honesty and truthfulness are key factors on responding questions. If you don't know the answer to a question, inform that you do not have the answer to such question yet, however, you will research and will commit to respond as soon as possible at a specified time.
- Don't take any question personal. Despita soe questions might highlight personal judgments at times, avoid involving your emotions. Keep it rational and well mannered.
- Be polite, yet assertive and direct on your answers. Too many explanations give the impression that you do not know what you are talking about.
- Set timing for questions. Any questions that cannot be responded during the event, you need to commit to respond at another time, given you provide an email for the audience to send their doubts.
