asked 03/08/21how did my teacher get (x-3)^2 from this (x^2-6x+9)?
How was the equation (x2- 6 +9) converted to (x-3)2 ?

Factoring a quadratic like x2 - 6x + 9 is a basic skill you should have learned in Algebra 1. If you did not, and you are in a trig class, I would worry. There are resources on youtube if you'd like help. Otherwise ask your teacher for help. You need to be able to do this in ALL levels of math from Algebra 1 and on. Here is the "distribution method" called FOIL (First Outside Inside Last) that multiplies (x - 3) and (x - 3) which is the same as (x - 3)2:
= x2 - 3x - 3x + 9 = x2 - 6x + 9

x2-6x+9 can be written as x2-3x-3x+9 𝑥2−6𝑥+9 𝑥2−3𝑥−3𝑥+9 𝑥(𝑥−3)−3(𝑥−3) so after that it becomes (x-3)^203/08/21
