Hello Marie, in this problem 7⁄8 • 8 you have a fraction multiplied by a whole number.
One way to do it is you can take the whole number (8) and multiply it by the numerator which in this case is seven. You will then have 56 as the product and you divide it by the denominator which is 8. 56 ÷ 8 will give you seven. I hope this helps.
