Either A or D. But it must be D 1st term = -3.
Question is what is the first term? when n=0 or when n=1
Usually, they speak of the nth term, so that the 1st term would be when n=1
But that doesn't seem to work
as the fraction reduces to 3/2 when n=1
There's a question as to whether the denominator was copied correctly or did it intend to be 5(n+1)?
Either way you don't get any of the 4 choices. IF it's 5(n+1) the fraction reduces to 9/10
so whoever designed this problem intended to treat n=0 in constructing the 1st term
IF so, then -3 is correct, unless you treat the denominator as 5(n+1) then the fraction reduces to -3/5
Then A is correct
IF the problem has been copied correctly, D is correct. But if the denominator is really 5(n+1) then A is correct
Only thing for certain is B and C are not correct.
