Given:RM = RN = 4x + 1

ST = 9x − 5

m∠R = 60°

Find:x, RM, and ST

What you need to know is that a line which bisects 2 sides of a triangle is parallel to the third side

(I hope somebody has proved that for you!).

That means (I hope you know!) That triangle RST and triangle RMN are similar.

Now set up the proportion to get your answer.
