I am assuming that (2,-1) and (5,-7) are a line and (0,0) and (-1,2) is the other line.
To find this you use the formula for a slope of the line.
Which is:
rise
run
y2-y1 (look up slope formula if this looks confusing)
x2-x1
So we would do this with both lines.
-7-(-1) = -2
5-2 1
-2 is our slope here.
2-0 = -2
-1-0 1
-2 is our slope here too.
This would signify that these lines are parallel to each other when graphed.
For perpendicular lines we would need negative reciprocals. (-2/1 and 1/2)
