the area of a rectangular patio is 5  5/8 square yards and it's length is 1   1/2 yards . what is the patio's with in yards . how did you figure this out

d-(b*2)/c+a*c²

5 5/8=(1 1/2)*width

width=(5 5/8)/(1 1/2)

w=(45/8)/(3/2)

w=(45/8)*(2/3)

w=90/24

w=3 18/24

w=3 3/4 yards (you could have simplified before multiplying if you wanted to: 15/4=3 3/4)
