If P(A)=0.008, what is the value of P(A)
Convert 0.008 into a percent by multiplying by 100 moving decimal two places to the right which yields 0.8%. Thus, the likelihood of event A occurring or happening at any random moment in time results in an 0.8% chance. We can also subtract this value from 100, to obtain the likelihood that event A will not occur, which is 99.2% which in decimal form is expressed as 0.992.
Thus when 0.992 is added to 0.008, their sum is exactly 1 or 100%. This is the math property of probabilistic events and their complements.

But it should be remembered, both .008 and .8% are correct representations. They both say the exactly the same thing. (i.e. .008 is also a correct answer for what is the value of P(A) )02/21/21
