Let's look at this problem and decide what operator(s) is (are) being used
"the product of 69 and 5.9 * 10^5" indicates that you ... multiply
within the value 5.9 * 10^5 is another multiplication
so 69 times 5.9 times 10^5
Ways to tackle this:
(1) plug the values with multiplication after each entry into calculator
... obtain an answer ... convert to scientific notation
(2) convert 69 into scientific notation first ... plug only the values into calculator (group to 10^1 and 10^5)
... obtain an answer ... convert to scientific notation (remembering to factor in 10^6)
Do you have a good understanding of scientific notation? If you need guidance/refresher/tutorial, please provide a comment.

Good. But does the question make you decide "how many significant figures"? If so, 3.864 has too many ...02/09/21
