A (g) ⇌ B (g) + C (g) (26)

An empty steel vessel is charged with 0.240 atm of C and 0.240 atm of A. Once the system reaches equilibrium according to the reaction below, what is the equilibrium partial pressure of C? Kp for this reaction is 11.2.

I did every single step multiple times for this same question except the two atm is 0.440 but I am still getting the question wrong. Your way has a error.

I'm not sure "my way" has an error. Did you ever consider that maybe you've made a mistake? What answer did you arrive at? If I use the same Kp of 11.2 and I use 0.440 atm for each A and for C, I find an equilibrium concentration of B = 0.409 atm. What value did you get?

Cat C.

Where did you get the 2.69 in step 3 of your Kp evaluation?

11.2 x 0.24 = 2.688 which I rounded to 2.69.
