Angle terminology with equations

<A and <B are supplementary angles. If m<A=(x-16) degrees and m <B=(3+28) degrees then find the measure of <A

m<A = 149

Supplementary angles total 180 degrees

m<A + m<B = 180

m<A = x -16

m<B = 3+ 28 = 31

Since

m<A + m<B = 180

Then

x - 16 + 31 = 180

x + 15 = 180

x = 180 - 15

x = 165

m<A = x - 16

m<A = 165 - 16 = 149
