Find the total length of Alex's shadows and Larry's shadows.

Larry and Alex are playing in the State Championship Football Game.. Alex is 6 feet tall and 180lbs. Larry is 6'5" tall and 220 lbs. They both are standing exactly between two floodlights. The floodlights are 12 yards high and 50 yards apart. The floodlights give the players two shadows, falling in opposite directions.

 Terry claims if Alex walks in a straight line towards one of the floodlights, his total shadow (in front and behind) remains consistent. Do you agree with her assessment? Figure out what happens to the total length of Dave's shadows when he walks 5 yards? 10 yards? 15 yards?

No I don't agree. Think about it; Unless your light is the sun; your shadow will expand as you walk away.

When walking toward; your shadow will end up under your feet.

But then when measuring from both lights the sum will stay as is.
