Since you said 7 was the opposite side, that means 24 must be the adjacent side to B, so that's what I'm assuming the diagram looks like.
Anyway, the mnemonic soh (sin = opposite/hypotenuse), cah (cos = adjacent/hypotenuse), toa (tan = opposite/adjacent) is useful here. Since the opposite side to B has length 7 and the hypotenuse has length 25, sin B = opposite/hypotenuse = 7/25. Similarly, since the side adjacent to B has length 24 and the hypotenuse has length 25, cos B = adjacent/hypotenuse = 24/25. Finally since the side opposite to B has length 7 and side adjacent to B has length 24, tan B = opposite/adjacent = 7/24.
