The test for a right triangle is c^2=a^2+b^2. C is going to be the LONGEST side of the triangle. So out of the 3 values that we were given we know that 2 is the longest. So lets test this equation.

2² = 1² + sqrt(3)²

4 = 1 + 3

4 = 4

Therefore this is a correct statement so this triangle is a right triangle!
