The slope of the given line y = 5x+2 is 5.
So the slope of the parallel line will also be 5
It passes through point P (2,6)
Using the point slope formula y - y1 = m (x-x1) with m = 5, x1 = 2, y1=6 gives
y - 6 = 5 (x-2) (1)
y = 6 + 5 (x-2)
y = 5x -4 (2)
So (1) and (2) are equivalent equations for the parallel line
