the altitude creates 2 right triangles, each with base half the base of the full triangle
each is area 6x/2 = 3x each triangle
It's actually an equilateral triangle, given 2 angles = 60 each. All 3 angles are 60 degrees. They sum to 180.
each 3rd side is the hypotenuse of a right triangle, h^2 = 6^2 + (h/2)^2
h^2 - h^2/4 = 36
(3/4)h^2 = 36
h^2 = (4/3)36 = 48
h = sqr48 = almost 7 = 4sqr3
half the base squared = (4sqr3)^2 - 36 = 16(3) -36 = 48-36 = 12
b/2^2 = 12
b/2 = sqr12 = 2sqr3
b = 4sqr3
