C1 = initial concentration = 50 mg/ml

V2 = final volume = 600 ml

C2 = final concentration = 100 ug/ml = 0.1 mg/ml (units for C1 and C2 must be the same)

(x ml)(50 mg/ml) = (600 ml)(0.1 mg/ml)

x = 1.2 ml of the 50 mg/ml stock should be used
