Yes, #2 is a CHEMICAL change.
For #1, it is somewhat of an unfair question. Many consider it a chemical change because heat is absorbed, but others consider it a physical change because there is no change in the chemical nature of the calcium chloride, and as you point out, removing the water results in the original calcium chloride. Either answer is considered correct.
