those equations are two parallel lines, with no solution
y=3x is a line through the origin with slope = 3
y-4=3x is
y = 3x +4, a parallel line, shifted up 4 units from y=3x
the two lines never intersect, so there is no point that is on both lines
the "solution" is the null set or
you might also say x=infinity and y=infinity
and x= negative infinity and y=negative infinity
are two solutions
the points (infinity,infinity) and (negative infinity, negative infinity) but infinity is not a real number or imaginary number. It's "just" a limitless "limit" never reached.
Yet infinity plus any finite number = infinity
so 3x = 3x +4 can be true if x = infinity
3 times infinity also = infinity
Mathematician Cantor gave us the math of infinity. He literally went insane thinking about infinity. He also had to contend with the Pope and assure him that infinite numbers didn't take away from the diety's infinite nature.
