 Zoey inflated 24 balloons. If Zoey inflated 15% of the balloons that are inflated, how many balloons are there in total?

The ratio of the number of balloons that Zoe inflated to the total number of balloons is the same as the ratio of 15 to 100.  

 

So  24:X :: 15:100

 

In fraction form this is (24/X) = (15/100)

 

Now cross multiply to get 15X = 2400

 

So X = 160 balloons total
