A line parallel has the same slope. The slope of y - 4 = 2x (or y = 2x + 4) is 2
So the line parallel to it that goes through (4, 6) is y - 6 = 2(x - 4) using the point-slope form of a line.
That would be y - 6 = 2x - 8 or y = 2x - 2
