The best suggestion I can offer is to read through the definition of sound, and pay attention to the details. Physics is possibly one of the most precise and detail-oriented subjects. If you said, "a sound is something you hear," your answer would be too vague and ambiguous. Make sure you find a scientific definition for sound, and then see if you can figure out how the conditions in outer space are different.
