How to write the AXE notation for Methoxymethane and Propane?

I've learned how to write the AXE notation of some molecules such as Selenium Tetrachloride (SeCl₄) which is AX₄E_1. I do not find any difficulties in writing this since there are only two elements and the central atom is only Selenium.

Therefore,

1. How to write the AXE notation of other compounds that has 3 or more elements in it? An example is Methoxmethane (C₂H₆O).
2. How to write the AXE notation of Propane (C₃H₈)? Please correct me if I am wrong, but will it be A₃X₈E₀?

I'm not positive but I would think each "central atom" will have its own AXE notation. So, for propane, which is

CH3CH2CH3 you would have three separate notations, one for each C. It would be AX₄E₀. Or, on further reflection, perhaps A₃X₈E₀ might do the trick.
