Slope is rise/run or difference in y/difference in x.
Find 2 points on a corner. If we start at (0,-2) and go up 6 and right 2, both positive, our slope is 6/2 = 3.

Slope is rise (change in y) over run (change in x), or (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
Find 2 nice points, like (0,-2) and (2,4)
Then (4- (-2))/(2-0)
=6/2
=3
