If the triangle has point A at the top of the semi circle and C & B at the ends of the bottom of the semicircle, then the height of the triangle = radius of the semicircle and the base of the triangle = twice the radius
AC = AB = square root of 2 times the radius = 1.414r where r= radius

Part of the problem statement seems to be missing. What is the relation of the semi-circle to the triangle? Is there a figure you can attach?12/02/20
