The hypotenuse is 15 cm,the adjacent is not given and the opposite is x.
The degrees inside the triangle on the same side as the hypotenuse is 35 degrees and on the opposite side is 90 degrees.

Hi Annah,
You are given a right triangle with a hypotenuse of length 15 cm. One of the angles is 35 deg, and you are given that the side opposite of this angle is length x.
To find x, remember that the sine of the 35 deg angle is equal to the length of the opposite side divided by the hypotenuse.
sin (35 deg) = x/(15 cm)
Solve this to find x
x = (15 cm) x sin (35 deg) = 8.6 cm
