 Would changing the volume a solutions and the incremental dilution volumes affect the successive concentrations?

This question is a little ambiguous. Would it affect successive concentrations relative to WHAT? It has to be compared to some other method of dilution, but we have no idea what that is. On the surface, one would say that any change in volume and or dilution volume WILL change successive concentrations, but if we compare it to some other method, maybe not.
