Titration Curve Question

Hi!

I have done a titration lab and drew a chart to represent the values I got. However, my chart turned out to be something strange. I will try to paste the picture in a comment below, since it won't let me do so in the description box.

I wonder why there is like a little "bump" or "pause" near pH= 6. Shouldnt it be only a steep curve there? What did I do wrong in the lab that could give me something like that?

If relevant to know, I measured pH after every added cubic centimeter of NaOH up to 25.

Thanks in advance for help!

It won't let me upload any picture (hm, something Wyzant can improve!) But I'll explain how it looks and hopefully that will be sufficient. My titration curve looks pretty correct, however in the area where pH 7 should be in middle, the curve should look steep in a normal curve. However, in my curve, there is first a steep increase, then a bump with low steepness around pH= 6 and then again steep graph again. I don't know why it turned out like that.

Thanks for your answer! I titrated a strong acid HCl with strong base NaOH.

Well then, it should be a smooth curve as you suggest with a steep rise and then a leveling off. The pH at equivalence should be 7.
