Inequalities work the same as a regular line, so the slope intercept form of y=mx+b.
Given y>x, it can be written in the form y>1x+0. This means the slope is 1, which is a positive diagonal line. You would draw the line as a dashed line because the inequality does not include equals (such as greater than or equal to). Finally, shade the area above the line, because the inequality sign is greater than.
Given y<-x, it can be written in the form y<-1x+0, which is a negative diagonal line. You would draw the line as a dashed line again, but now shade the area under it.
