Bob you forgot to divide 12 by 4 it should be -3/4x + 3 if you divide 3x by 4 you should divide 12 by 4 also

Sir bob you forgot to divide 12 by 4 because if you divide - 3x by 4 you should divide 12 by 4 also so the line equation should be y = -3/4x + 3

Sir bob I noticed that you did not divide 12 by 4, if you divide 3x by 4 we should also divide 12 by 4 so that the line equation would be y = -(3/4x ) + 3.

Thanks, Conrad - you are correct. Aubrey - please see what Conrad points out. It turns out (by accident) that this doesn't make a difference for your final answer. While I should have said y = -(3/4)x + 3, the equation y = -(3/4)x + 12 is also a valid answer, since we have no other data from which we can calculate a value for b. Therefore, any b will satisfy the requirement. Sorry anyhow - Bob
