Hello, Aubrey,
A perpendicular line will have a slope that is the negative reciprocal of the line in question. For an equation in the form of y = mx + b, a perpendicular line would have -(1/m) as its slope. y = -(1/m) + b. Rearrange the equation to y = -(3/4)x + 12 and a perpendicular line would be y = (4/3)x + 12. I don't see any other condition set for this new line, such as it also goes through point (x,y), so we can leave the y-intercept of 12 as it is.

Sir bob you forgot to divide 12 by 4 because if you divide - 3x by 4 you should divide 12 by 4 also so the line equation should be y = -3/4x + 310/29/20

Sir bob I noticed that you did not divide 12 by 4, if you divide 3x by 4 we should also divide 12 by 4 so that the line equation would be y = -(3/4x ) + 3.10/29/20
