You will need the point-slope form to convert into the slope-intercept form.
Point: (5, 0) and the line is parallel to y = 1.2x + 3.8.
y - 0 = 1.2(x - 5)
y - 0 = 1.2x - 6
y = 1.2x - 6
The lines are parallel if their slopes are the same, but have different y-intercepts.
