What is point slope form? Point slope form is y2 - y1 = m(x2-x1). m is the slope. Slope can be found by taking the difference of the ys of two points and divide it by the x of two points... in other words, slope = m = (y2 - y1) / (x2-x1)
Given: slope = m = 1/2 & slope intercept form is y2 - y1 = m(x2-x1) & the point (5, -4)
1) Plug into equation
y2 + 4 = 1/2 (x2 - 5)
I hope this helps :)
