asked 10/23/20Jasmine plans to sew fringe around a circular pillow with a radius of 5 inches. How much fringe does she need to purchase?
If Jasmine needs to order fabric material to make the pillow cover. If she needs an additional inch of fabric to allow for seams and she wants to cover both sides of the pillow, how much material will she need?

Hello, Noah,
I may be reading this wrong, so look at my answer with some suspicion. The diameter of the pillow is 10 inches Add an additional 2 inches for the seam and we have 12 inches. Since fabric is purchased in rectangle sections, we can calculate the area of a square of 12 inches each side. This is 122, or 144 in2. Both sides would be 288 in2. If ft2 is the preferred measure, that is 1 ft2.
I may be wrong, but I hope it helps,
Bob
