To bisect an angle with compass and unmarked straight edge, proceed as follows.
Place the point of the compass on the vertex of the angle and swing an arc crossing both legs of the angle.
Increase the swing of the compass and swing an arc from each of the intersections of the first arc with the angle legs.
Draw a straight line from the vertex to the intersection of the 2 arcs. This is the angle bisector!
Do you know why? This is a result of the theorem which says that 2 triangles which have 3 sides equal each to each are congruent!
