x increases by 7 , from -9 to -2, so add 3 to -9 to get -6. Add 3 because it's 3/7 of the way. take the smaller x value and add 3. -9+3 = -6
do the same for the difference in the y values
y increases by 14, from -7 to 7, so add 3/7 of 14 = 6 to get -1
the point is (-6,-1) just take 3/7 of the differences and add to the first point
that segment is 3/7 of the distance, while the remaining segment is 4/7 the distance, so that's a ratio of 3:4
