I think they are asking you for 2 things here.
- Set up an equation for the relationship between x and y
- Then graph that equation
For the first step, you would chunk off the first sentence: y is (=) 5 less than (-5) twice x (2x)
- Y =2X-5 (because you generally want it in Y = m(X) + b format when graphing
For the next step, start with the "b" (the y intercept) and put a dot at -5 (on the y axis). Stay there and look at your M (your slope, or your rise over your run) which is 2, so you would rise 2 (up) and run 1 (right) to put your second dot, then just connect the dots to make the line.
This is a bit hard without the help of putting in a graph you can see, but hopefully, you get how to graph with the words I used above.....
