-5 to 1 is a distance of 6
-5 to 4 is a distance of 9
add another 6 to 1 to get 7 for the difference in x coordinates
add another 9 to 4 to get 13 for the difference in y coordinates
(7,13) is the other end point
just extend the line up by the same distance as the other end point is down
you don't need to calculate the actual distance between points, just the difference in x coordinates and the difference in y coordinates.
