Let "x" be the amount of gas in a full tank. That means x times 3/8 will equal 15
3/8x = 15 [multiply both sides of the equation by 8/3 to get:
x = 15(8/3) = 40 liters
Check this by multiplying 40 by 3/8 to see if you get 15
That means the amount of additional liters required to fill the tank is 40 - 15 which is 25 liters.
