Hi Grace H., The perimeter is the sum of the lengths of the 3 sides. You can find the length of each side by finding the distance between the two vertices with the distance formula. For example,
XY = SQRT([8 - (-6]^2 + (2 - 2)^2) = SQRT(14^2 + 0^2) = 14
So the length XY is 14.
Do the same for YZ and XZ and add up the three numbers to get the perimeter. Tom S.
