how do u get the answer of (0, 8) and (-1, 10) point slope form
These two points go through THE line segment.
Point-slope is the general form y-y₁=m(x-x₁) for linear equations. It emphasizes the slope of the line and a point on the line (that is not the y-intercept (From the KhanAcademy Website)
the slope = m = y-y1/x-x1 = the slope = often called....Rise/Run....a line Rises (up/down) or Run (left/right)
so in this case m = slope = 10-8/-1-0 = 2/-1 = -2 the slope....a negative value...if you graph this the line goes down and to right.
The two x and y values REPRESENT points on the line.
so.....in point slope form.....we have.....10-8 = m (-1-0)....m is the slope which we computed as -2...Right?
