A = (x_{A} , y_{A}) = (-3,-6)

B = (x_{B} , y_{B}) = (10,7)

Find the change in x and the change in y:

x_{B} - x_{A} = 10 - (-3) = 13

y_{B} - y_{A} = 7 - (-6) = 13

Find (7/10) the change in x and (7/10) the change in y:

(7/10) (x_{B} - x_{A}) = (7/10) (13) = 9.1

(7/10) (y_{B} - y_{A}) = (7/10) (13) = 9.1

Add (7/10) the change in x and y to the x and y value in point A to find your new point:

x_{A} + (7/10) (x_{B} - x_{A}) = -3 + 9.1 = 6.1

y_{A} + (7/10) (y_{B} - y_{A}) = -6 + 9.1 = 3.1

(x,y) = (6.1, 3.1)

0.7(10 - (-3)) = 0.7(13) = 9.1

-3 + 9.1 = 6.1

So, your answer is (6.1, y). Find the y-coordinate the same way and round both if necessary.
