Plumber a charges $75 per service call plus $15 per hour for labor. Plumber B Charges $25 per hour for labor but it’s not charge a fee for the service call. How many hours with the plumbers have to work for their cost to be the same?

Let x be the number of hours each plumber work.

For the first plumber the cost is 75+15•x

Second plumber cost is 25•x

Since cost of both plumbers is the same 75+15•x=25•x

Solve for x

75+15x=25x

75=25x-15x

75=10x

x=7.5

So, they both have to work 7 hours and a half to finally have he same cost
