If you want to report this is more conventional units (g/ml), then you would have
mass = 88 centigrams x 1 g/100 centigrams = 0.88 g
volume = 0.001 kilo liters x 1000 Liter/kilo liter = 1 L x 1000 ml/L = 1000 ml
